Who May Be a Candidate for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

  • Persistent fatigue, low energy, or difficulty concentrating

  • Mood fluctuations, irritability, or increased anxiety

  • Sleep disturbances, including trouble falling or staying asleep

  • Changes in weight or body composition that are difficult to manage

  • Shifts in sexual health, such as low libido, vaginal dryness, or erectile changes

  • Transition periods such as perimenopause, menopause, or andropause

  • Hormonal changes following certain medical treatments or conditions

HRT is a prescription therapy that must be tailored to each person. At Mountain West Medical Clinic, we use lab testing, medical evaluation, and a personalized care plan to determine whether HRT is appropriate.

Targeted Lab Testing with Transparent Pricing

Before starting Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), it’s essential to have a clear picture of your overall health. At Mountain West Medical Clinic, we offer tailored Men’s and Women’s HRT Lab Panels to help your provider evaluate your baseline hormone levels and overall wellness. This information supports the development of a safe, individualized treatment plan.

If you’ve completed lab work within the last six months, you’re welcome to send your results to Documents@mountainwestmedicalclinic.com for review during your consultation.

Each panel is designed to assess key areas of health — including core wellness markers, hormone levels, and nutrient status — while taking into account the unique physiological considerations of men and women.

⚠️ Lab panels are used to support clinical decision-making and are not intended to diagnose or treat any condition on their own. All treatment decisions are made by a licensed medical provider following a full evaluation.

  • The Women’s Basic Panel includes key reproductive and thyroid hormone measurements — FSH, LH, estradiol, testosterone, DHEA, TSH, and prolactin. This panel provides your provider with important baseline information to support clinical decision-making and personalized treatment planning.

These hormones are involved in many physiological processes, including menstrual cycles, metabolism, fertility, mood regulation, and sleep patterns.

⚠️ Lab panels are intended to support clinical evaluation and are not diagnostic on their own. All treatment decisions are made by a licensed medical provider after a full evaluation.

  • The Women’s Expanded Panel offers a broader assessment by including additional thyroid markers — free T3, free T4, and TPO antibodies — along with progesterone. These tests provide a more detailed overview of hormonal and thyroid function, giving your provider valuable information to guide personalized care and treatment planning.

⚠️ Lab results are interpreted by licensed medical providers and are not intended to diagnose or treat conditions on their own.

  • Men’s Hormone Test Panel — Basic
The Men’s Basic Panel focuses on key hormone measurements that provide valuable baseline information about male hormone status. This includes assessments of total and free testosterone, along with sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and other essential markers. The results help your healthcare provider evaluate hormone levels as part of a comprehensive clinical plan.

⚠️ Lab panels are intended to support clinical evaluation and are not diagnostic on their own. All treatment decisions are made by a licensed medical provider following a full consultation.

  • Men’s Hormone Test Panel — Expanded
The Men’s Expanded Panel offers a comprehensive set of hormone and biomarker measurements to support clinical evaluation related to male hormone health. This panel includes assessments of testosterone levels and other key markers that provide your healthcare provider with important baseline information for individualized care planning.

Note: As of 10/10/2025, Mountain West Medical Clinic does not bill for lab panels. Prices reflect Quest Diagnostics patient rates. Billing questions should be directed to Quest. Lab panels are optional; recent lab results (within 6 months) may be used. Providers may request additional labs if needed for comprehensive care.
